Ava & Azar is where heritage meets fearless self-expression.

Founded by British-Iranian actress and singer Soophia Foroughi, Ava & Azar grew from a pause in performance into a bold celebration of identity, artistry, and heritage. When the stage went silent during the COVID-19 pandemic, Soophia turned to another canvas: statement jewellery.

Rooted in her Iranian ancestry and a lifelong love of statement earrings, each piece draws inspiration from Persian architecture, sweeping landscapes, and the vibrant textures of her ancestral home. The result: modern heirlooms that are sculptural, daring, and full of story.

 

 

For Soophia, Ava & Azar is deeply personal - a bridge to a homeland she hasn’t visited in over 20 years, a way to honour her roots while creating something entirely new. And it’s deeply intentional: every design seeks to empower the wearer, to celebrate individuality, and to invite the wearer to feel confident, bold, and fearless.

The name itself is a manifesto. ‘Ava’ means “voice” or “sound,” and ‘Azar’ means “fire” - the ninth month of the Persian calendar. Born in the ninth month of the Western year, Soophia felt a profound connection: Ava for the beauty of voice, Azar for the spark of creation.
